EVs are poised for wider adoption

The electric vehicles ecosystem is close to reaching a tipping point. A clutch of factors will drive wider adoption.

It's been famously said that there are decades when nothing happens – and weeks when decades happen. Why do things remain the same for long, and then change abruptly? Economists use the concept of tipping point to explain this. Economists Michael Katz and Carl Shapiro define tipping as "the tendency of one system to pull away from its rivals in popularity once it has gained an initial edge".
